A Midwest girl born and raised, wife to my college sweetheart, tried and true extrovert, and a loyal daughter, sister & friend.
I believe that my purpose is to serve others through creativity, inspiration and unconditional love – and as an Event Planner & Designer, I’m so grateful to live that purpose day in and day out.
I’m passionate about making a positive impact on those I serve and building fruitful relationships with my clients that turn into cherished friendships for years to come.
With our recent move to Pittsburgh, I decided to follow my own advice and organize a Modern Bohemian Styled Shoot this past April with some fabulous local wedding vendors. Styled shoots are a perfect way to express your creativity, showcase your personal design style, and collaborate with vendors you haven’t had a chance to work with. In addition to the aforementioned perks of styled shoots, another main reason to organize a styled shoot is to create inspiring images that national and local wedding blogs want to publish and share with their readers. This latter part was my main goal for this shoot.
My main focus while creating the inspiration board for this shoot was to create beautiful designs and imagery worthy of getting published, and that’s exactly what this team of fabulous vendors accomplished!
My Modern Bohemian Blooms Styled Shoot located in Pittsburgh, PA was published on Wedding Chicks today, which means we can finally share this gorgeous gallery with the world. I’m so excited for you to take a look! You can find the Wedding Chicks Feature here and the complete gallery of images in my portfolio here. All of the talented vendors that partnered with me on this shoot are linked in my portfolio. Thank you to the amazing team who brought my vision to life. You are the best!
Staged in a loft studio in the heart of Pittsburgh, this Bohemian Blooms Styled Shoot was inspired by the desire to mix the industrial architecture this city was built upon with a soft and whimsical modern day bohemian style that can seem sometimes unachievable in the steel city.
With an everlasting passion for mixing color, texture, and dimension, I chose to showcase the punchy pastels blooms that arrive with the Spring and Summer season and play them off of copper and macramé accents to keep the eyes wandering through this organic and playful setting. Every detail from the organic and wild floral arrangements, geo-copper candle holders, textured ceramic plates, and the pink quartz embedded in the hair pin and sash were carefully selected to emphasize this effortless bohemian style, allowing them to shine in an unexpected studio in downtown Pittsburgh.
I hope you enjoy this gallery as much as I. The movement, color, and texture showcased throughout these images were designed with the intent to inspire and excite the soul.
