It has been a while since I’ve shared my thoughts and work with you. Blog posts have taken a back seat as I’ve been preparing for a styled wedding shoot later this August, focusing on client meetings, and updating my website services to provide more detail and clarity about the packages I offer.
As a wedding planner, my peak season and busiest time of year is May through September. These months are the height of wedding season, as a majority of couples prefer to get married during the warmer months when the sun is out & they can count on a more stable weather forecast. Not only is it height of wedding season, but also shower and bachelorette season as they go hand in hand. Wedding showers are a perfect way to gather an intimate group of your closest family and friends to shower the special couple with love and gifts. Other than your wedding, it’s not very often you get to see all your favorite people in one day!
With the help of my mom and aunts, the past few months we have been planning a special wedding shower to celebrate my beautiful cousin. She is getting married this October so a summer bridal shower was the natural time to celebrate. When I began planning her shower, I wanted it to be a direct reflection of her personality. My cousin is outgoing, happy, vibrant, and one of the sweetest women you will ever meet, always there for her family and friends. I decided on “let love bloom” as our bridal shower theme, using bright summer colors and an assortment of blooms for our centerpieces to give it an eclectic garden vibe.
It was such a special day celebrating with family and friends near and dear to our hearts. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed celebrating together.
